Pottsgrove Soccer Club Families,

As some of you may be aware, the masking requirements have been updated for Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery Counties. Additional guidance has been given by EPYSA as well. As a result of the updated requirements for our county, the following will be the updated mask requirements for Pottsgrove Soccer Club:

1. Players - Masks will not be required when playing in a game or actively participating in training/practice. Masks will continue to be required when on the sidelines or not actively participating.

2. Referees - Masks will continue to be required (note this is for our in-house intramural referees).

3. Coaches and Spectators - Masks are still required as is social distancing with those that are not in your household. If the kids on the sidelines have to wear masks we should as well.

4. Travel Teams and SCSL Teams - Coaches - If you are playing a home game, please let the other team know the updated requirements. If you are playing away or at a tournament, we must follow the policies of the home team or tournament. So if you are playing in Berks County, players will still be required to wear masks while playing. Please communicate with your opposing coach, do not assume that a club in 1 of the 4 counties has also changed their masking policy, as there is no requirement for them to do so.

Thank you,

Pottsgrove Soccer Club Board of Directors

Leagues - Recreational

Recreational Division consist of age groups U12 Thru U19. The teams in the Recreational division play in the Suburban County Soccer League (SCSL) which currently consists of Pottsgrove Soccer, Amity Soccer Club, Boyertown Soccer Club, Coventry Soccer Association, Methacton United, Perkiomen Valley Soccer, Phoenixville Area Soccer Club and West Mont United Soccer Association. Teams will play their home scheduled games at Gerald Richards Park or Hollenbach Fields and their away scheduled games at the field of the club that they are playing that week.

Although teams travel to other clubs to play games, Players are assumed to be intramural in their skill levels and shall not have been issued any Player ID passes by any Travel League for the current “year”.

SCSL does not record scores after a game nor do they publish standings. The teams in SCSL are Co-ed and the league has detailed rules for making sure that there are female players on all rosters and on the playing field in each SCSL game. Players also need to agree to a Players Pledge.

More information about the SCSL can be found at http://suburbancounties.org/joomla/.
